Tennis

Know your facts:

  • Unified Sports? Yes
  • Estimated number of athletes participating: 83 athletes + 30 Unified partners

Tennis is a backstroke sport. All players have a racket. The ball is played over the net into the other court.

Special Olympics feature:

We play tennis according to the rules of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). However, we have slightly adjusted the rules to control the length of the matches by using shorter sets. Additionally, there is an option to use smaller courts and low compression balls.

We have four competitions at National Games:

  1. Singles - Women
  2. Singles - Men
  3. Unified Doubles - Women
  4. Unified Doubles - Men
