In cycling, the goal is to ride different distances as fast as possible on a bicycle. There are two types of competitions in Special Olympics: time trial and road race.
Special Olympics feature:
Our rules differ slightly from those of the Union Cycliste International. For example, there is the maximum effort rule that is used in the time trial. Also, for safety reasons, it is forbidden for athletes to take the hands off the handlebars.
We have 15 disciplines at National Games:
Category 1: Short distance
- 500m time trial
- 1,000m time trial

Category 2: Middle distance

Category 3: Long distance
